SuperRare supports email sign-in so you can create and access your account without needing to set up a separate wallet before getting started.
When you sign in with email, SuperRare creates a wallet experience for you using Reown’s smart account technology. This gives you an onchain wallet address that can hold your works and assets, while keeping the login experience closer to a normal web account.
Behind the scenes, your account uses a smart account. A smart account is a smart contract wallet. That means it works differently from a traditional wallet that is controlled directly by a seed phrase or private key.
How to log in
Go to SuperRare and select Log in.
Choose one of the available options, such as email, Google, Apple, X, Discord, or another supported provider.
Follow the prompts to verify your login.
Once complete, your SuperRare account will be created or opened automatically.
You can update your SuperRare username by going into Settings on your account profile.
You do not need to install a wallet extension or manage a recovery phrase just to get started.
🔔 Note: Smart accounts apply only to new users and cannot be retroactively enabled on existing wallet-based accounts (EOA) in SuperRare.
Frequently Ask Questions
Where do my collected works live if I do not have a wallet?
Your collected works still live on the blockchain, just like any other SuperRare artwork.
If you log in with email or a social account, a wallet is automatically created for your SuperRare account. That wallet is connected to your login method, so your pieces are held by the wallet associated with your SuperRare account.
In simpler terms:
Your SuperRare profile is your account on SuperRare.
Your auto-created wallet is where your collected works are held.
Your email or social login is how you securely access that account and wallet.
So even if you did not bring your own wallet, your pieces are not “inside” your email or social account. They are held in the wallet created for you when you sign in.
Can I export my wallet?
Yes, but with one important distinction.
Your smart account itself cannot be exported as a private key because it is a smart contract wallet. However, the underlying wallet key associated with your account can be exported through a secure user-only export process using Reown's modal.
To start that process, click on Manage Wallet under your account profile and click into your wallet. You'll be guided to Upgrade your wallet where you'll go through Reown's secured application modal to complete the process.
SuperRare cannot see, copy, store, or export your private key on your behalf. The export process is designed so that only you, the account owner, can reveal and save your key that will be done over on Reown's secured website.
The simplest way to move your assets
If your main goal is to use another wallet going forward, the simplest option may be to create a new self-custody wallet and transfer your NFTs and assets from your SuperRare smart account into that wallet.
If you specifically need access to the underlying private key associated with your email-based account, SuperRare support can help guide you to the secure key export process.
Important security note
Never share your private key with anyone, including SuperRare support. Anyone with access to your private key may be able to control the associated wallet. SuperRare will never ask you to send us your private key.
What happens when I sign in with email?
When you sign in with email, SuperRare creates a wallet experience for you using Reown’s smart account technology. This lets you use SuperRare without setting up a separate wallet first.
Do I still have an onchain wallet?
Yes. Your email-based account is connected to an onchain smart account wallet address. This address can hold NFTs, tokens, and other assets.
Is this the same as a normal wallet?
Not exactly. A normal wallet is usually controlled directly by a private key or seed phrase. Your SuperRare email-based wallet uses a smart account, which is a smart contract wallet.
Does my smart account have a seed phrase?
No. A smart account does not have a seed phrase in the same way a traditional wallet does.
Can I export my smart account?
The smart account itself cannot be exported as a private key because it is a smart contract wallet. However, the underlying wallet key associated with your account can be exported through a secure user-only export process. Follow the steps here.
Can SuperRare export the key for me?
No. SuperRare cannot view, copy, store, or export your private key for you. We can only help you access the secure export flow. Only you can reveal and save your private key.
Can SuperRare see my private key?
No. SuperRare cannot see your private key.
What should I do after exporting my private key?
Store it somewhere safe. Do not send it over email, chat, Discord, Telegram, or any support channel. Anyone who has your private key may be able to control the associated wallet.
Will SuperRare ever ask me for my private key?
No. SuperRare will never ask you to share your private key. If anyone asks for it, do not provide it.
Do I need to create a crypto wallet before collecting?
No. You can log in with email or a supported social account, and SuperRare will create the account setup needed for you.
Can I still use my existing wallet?
Yes. If you already use a crypto wallet, you can continue signing in with it instead of using email or social login.
What social login options are supported?
Reown AppKit supports email, Google, X, GitHub, Discord, Apple, Facebook, and Farcaster. Facebook may not be available on mobile devices.
Is this secure?
SuperRare uses Reown’s login experience, which supports email and social login while creating a wallet behind the scenes. Reown’s documentation notes that AppKit uses Magic to provide these wallet experiences and manage private key creation/security.
What should I do if I cannot access my account?
Contact SuperRare Support with the email address or social login method you used. Do not create multiple accounts if you are trying to find a collected work, since the work may be associated with the original login method you used.
