Add Physical Details for your Physical Artworks

How to add physical artwork details and media to your minted artwork

We’re excited to support physical artworks minted on SuperRare. You can add information about your physical artwork and media directly from your artwork page after it’s been minted, then show them so collectors can view them publicly before the sale. Contact details you enter are never shown publicly — only the buyer sees them after purchase.

Before you start

  • Sign in as the artwork’s creator.

  • Open the artwork detail page for the piece you want to update.

  • Open the + Add Physical Details tab (or the Physical details tab if you’ve already added details).

Add and show physical details

  1. On the artwork page, open the + Add Physical Details or Physical details tab.

  2. Tick “This listing includes a physical item to reveal the editor fields. (Unticking it and saving will remove physical-item messaging from the artwork page.)

  3. Fill in any structured fields you want collectors to see: Type, Medium, Dimensions, Shipping Cost.

  4. Choose a Contact Method — None, Email, DM, or Text — and enter the corresponding Contact Text (e.g. an email address or DM handle). Contact Text is required when a Contact Method other than None is selected.

  5. Optionally use Additional Notes for fulfillment details that don’t fit the structured fields.

  6. In Physical media gallery, add media for the public carousel:

    • Click Upload media to upload an image or video from your device.

    • Or click Add URL to paste a hosted asset URL; choose Image or Video for the Media Type, paste the Media URL, and (for videos) add a Poster URL.

  7. Read and accept the Artist disclaimer checkbox.

  8. Click Show physical details to make them visible to collectors. The button label changes to Hide physical details when the listing is set to not include a physical item.

Fields you can fill in

  • This listing includes a physical item

  • Type

  • Medium

  • Dimensions

  • Shipping Cost

  • Contact Method (None, Email, DM, Text)

  • Contact Text

  • Additional Notes

  • Physical media gallery (Upload media, or Add URL with Media Type, Media URL, Poster URL)

  • Artist disclaimer (required to show details)

What collectors will see

  • Before the artwork is sold: the public Physical details tab on the artwork page shows the structured information (Type, Medium, Dimensions, Shipping Cost, Additional Notes) and the media gallery. Contact information is never shown publicly.

  • After the artwork is sold: the public Physical details tab is hidden. Only the buyer (the current owner of the piece) can view the full physical details — including contact information — from their signed-in account on the artwork page.

  • The most recent saved version replaces the previous one.

Privacy: who sees contact info

  • The email, DM handle, or text you enter under Contact Method / Contact Text is never visible to the public — not before the sale and not after.

  • Once a buyer owns the piece, they can see your contact details from the artwork page while signed in, so they can coordinate fulfillment with you directly.

After the sale (for creators)

  • Public visitors no longer see the Physical details tab once the piece has been sold; the information becomes private to the buyer.

  • You can still open the tab as the creator to view or update what you’ve saved, but those updates are only visible to the current owner, not to the public.

FAQ

I don’t see the Physical Details editor.

Sign in as the artwork’s creator. Public visitors only see the read-only Physical details tab, and only before the primary sale.

Showing details isn’t working.

  • Make sure Contact Text is filled in if you selected a Contact Method other than None.

  • Make sure you’ve accepted the Artist disclaimer when the listing is marked as including a physical item.

  • For pasted media URLs, the URL must end in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp, .gif, .mp4, or .mov, or the asset needs to be uploaded directly so its file type can be detected.

My changes are not visible publicly.

Confirm that you clicked Show physical details, then refresh the artwork page. If the artwork has already sold, public visitors won’t see the tab — only the buyer can see your saved details.

Can I save without showing publicly?

Your edits stay in this browser until you click Show physical details or Hide physical details. They are not stored or shared until then.

Can I upload video?

Yes. Images and videos are supported. For videos pasted by URL, you can also add a Poster URLfor the thumbnail.

Will buyers be able to contact me?

Yes. After the sale, the buyer can see the contact method and contact text you provided so they can reach you to coordinate fulfillment. Other visitors cannot.
