With $RARE, you can now tip artworks, curatorial musings, or collectors in reply casts on Farcaster.
Tipping on Farcaster – as well as your activity on SuperRare – will earn you rep as a $RARE tipper. The more you tip, enjoy art, and support those making the onchain world more vibrant, the higher your $RARE tipping rep will climb.
All tips and rewards from your activity will be claimable at the end of Season 1 (date announcement coming soon).

How to Get Started
You must have a SuperRare account with the same wallet linked to Farcaster (see below).
Once you've sorted which address you'd like to use between the two platforms, check your daily tip allowance on the Tipping Leaderboard here.
To be eligible for a tip allowance, one of the following must apply:
You hold at least 2,500 $RARE in their SR-connected wallet, or
You have minted, bought, or bid on an artwork at least once since the last airdrop on 8/7/2021
Remember: Purchased $RARE does not currently count towards your tip allowance. Read on to learn how tip allowance is calculated.
How Tip Allowance Works
Your tip allowance refreshes daily and increases based on your activity/engagement on the /SuperRare channel on Farcaster. Tips can be given and received on any channel, but only /SuperRare activity ups your allowance.
Activity on SuperRare also increases your tip allowance, including:
Auction bids
Artwork purchases (via auctions, accepted offers, and List Price sales)
Minting
Liking artworks
Purchased $RARE does not count towards your allowance. Tips on Farcaster can only be given from the allowance you are given. Check your allowance here.
Unused allowances will not roll over
How to Give a Tip
You must have a SuperRare account with the same wallet linked to Farcaster
Allowance points are weighted towards casts in /SuperRare, but you can give a tip in any channel
Tippers keep 5% of all $RARE tipped
Tipping is case sensitive. Please type $RARE instead of $rare
To tip someone, simply reply to their cast with “amount + $RARE” [50 $RARE]
Receiving and Claiming Tips
You must have a SuperRare account with the same wallet linked to Farcaster to receive tips
Recipients get 95% of the tips given (tippers keep 5% of the tip as an incentive)
Tips will be claimable at the end of Season 1. Keep an eye out for more 😉
Tip! If you have two SuperRare accounts synced to one Farcaster account, points and tips will be added and factored towards both SuperRare accounts. Any tips received to your Farcaster account will be split to both SuperRare accounts.
